Jan Smuts Avenue is the main transport route running north-south through Jo'burg with buses that stop on our doorstep. You can take a taxi to many of the nearby attractions.

Rietvlei Backpackers Lodge
Situated on a 180 hectare game farm, 25 minutes from Johannesburg International Airport, we are very versatile and include a number of day excursions. We can accommodate 48 guests in cosy, rustic chalets and have additional camping facilities together with a more than adequate lodge/hall and an old fashioned farm house kitchen.

The Rietvlei Farm enjoys a rich history and is home to various wild life, like the White Lion, Wild Dogs and a wide variety of buck.

We offer free airport transfers to guests.

To mingle with fellow backpackers we have a Bar and Lounge entertainment area, with large farm style kitchen complete with an old coal stove.
To keep you in touch with friends and family or to book your next destination we have a small Internet cafe and travel library!

Gemini Backpackers Lodge
Gemini is set in a spacious, well-established garden with plenty of secure, fenced car parking. The peaceful lodge has a sparkling swimming pool, tennis court and great camping sites. We serve good, affordable meals and provide duvets and clean linen as the rooms are serviced daily.
We offer all sorts of tours and can arrange trips to Soweto, Gold Reep City, the Lion Park, Kruger Park and Southern Africa.
We provide clean linen, pillows and duvets and offer a free pick up from Johannesburg International Airport (15 min away). We are close to Sandton City Shopping Centre and a very Large African curios shop.
