Greyhound
Greyhound has been a name synonymous with passenger
transport for many years, but even though Greyhound buses
were operating on South African roads back in the 50s, the
modern Greyhound service really began in 1984. This was the
year that a three-coach operation was launched, running luxury
coaches between Johannesburg and Durban. Unitrans Passenger
managing director, Nico Boshoff, says it was a totally new
transport concept at the time and one that caught the travelling
public's imagination
