Coral Divers is situated in Sodwana Bay, South Africa, 580 kilometers east of The Waldorf Suites Sandton. It has many, many miles of untouched beaches and is situated within the boundaries of the greater St. Lucia Wetland Park. It has vast unspoiled coral reefs hosting over seven hundred species of Indo-Pacific fish & myriads of forms of other aquatic life.

Sodwana’s beaches are arguably the best in South Africa. It lies in a national park, where development is limited to a campsite and two hotels in over 250,000 ha. Nowhere in South Africa will you see such beautiful, pristine beaches, devoid of human habitation.

Sodwana - 580 km from The Waldorf, Sodwana is rated as second best dive site in the world. With over seven hundred species of fish to discover within a National Game Park, Sodwana is the best of untouched wilderness that South Africa has to offer. Accommodation is recommended at Coral Divers, who offer great value for money and an arguably the best organized diving operation in Southern Africa. Coral divers boast their own hotel, good food, a super-efficient dive operation which in season can give you up to three dives per day and weather permitting, a night dive. The have on site Nitrox facilities and very experienced Instructors. Current rates are R 220 per person per night, R 180 per dive or R 790 for five dives. Meals cost about R 55 for breakfast and R 80 for a buffet dinner. Eat as much as you want.

  • Relax on the beach. Sodwana is on average six degrees warmer than Johannesburg, so in winter when the average winter daytime temperature is 20 ?c, you have a wonderful 26 ?c. Sea temperature varies from 19 ?c during July to 28 ?c during March.
  • Hluhluwe Game Park -a South African favourite, within 80 km to see the Big 5.
  • Sodwana game reserve itself, which has many species of buck, offers safe walking trails and miles and miles of beaches, arguably the best in Southern Africa. They are the only beaches that are unspoiled by development that is accessible to tourists.
