 IT
HAS HISTORY
Mountain Manor is situated at the foot of
Table Mountain. It is a secure establishment of historic significance
500m from the houses of Parliament in Cape Town, South Africa.
Built during
1851 when Cape Town was a provisions port for European sailing vessels
bringing silk, spices and aromatics from The East & Far East
to The Olde World, Mountain Manor was the hotel of choice for many
wealthy travelers doing business. In those days Cape Town was a
port of necessity, not as it is today, a vibrant holiday & business
destination of note.
 During
those times, Mountain Manor was an hotel on the outskirts of Cape
Town. Now it is a five minute walk to the Town Centre. Its two minutes
walk the Gardens of Parliament and just minutes from about everything
there is to see & do in Cape Town. To name a few:
- Labia Museum
- Parliament
- Mount Nelson Hotel & Restaurants
- National Theatre
