Close to Sijarira Lodge are the seasonal camps of Chete Gorge and Ruzi Camp. Located on the shores of the Chete safari area, these two fully furnished and equipped lodges offer fishermen and their families the opportunity to book the camp exclusively.

With elevated views of the lake, Chete spawns the best sunsets you'll see anywhere on Kariba. Ruzi, being more of a "wild" camp, offers the same services as Chete with the added advantage of sharing your camp with some of the "Big Five", more often than not on a daily basis.

Situated in the middle and narrowest section of Kariba, in wilderness areas with little or no netting and fishing pressure, houseboat or pleasure boating activities nearby, and access to the upper reaches of the Senkwe and Ruzi rivers, they're the ultimate spots for a weekend dose of peace and quiet.

The fishing is superlative and although good catches are made year round, September through March are considered the prime months. Tiger fish are always first on most of our guests' lists, but don't discount the quality bream and chessa fishing, as well as vundu, barbel, bottlenose and cornish jack.
