Bazaruto Lodge Hotel
The island of Bazaruto is
a beautiful, undeveloped destination, characterized by its
stunning white beaches that stretch for miles along its eastern
shore, unique wildlife, turquoise waters all carefully cared
for as our own private Nature Reserve. The island is three
miles long by one wide. It has freshwater lakes that host
crocodile, hippo and is the nest place for threatened turtles
leatherback turtles.
The Pestana Bazaruto Lodge is situated in an east-facing bay
on the north side of the island. Its setting is nothing short
of bloody marvelous. It's an ideal spot for nature lovers
(& lovers). It hosts diving, paddling, kayaking, snorkeling
and other water sports. Fishing is great all year round. As
the seasons change you'll catch tuna, sailfish, marlin, barracuda,
kingfish and many lesser varieties. We insist upon catch and
release, allowing you to only take what you can eat. Our chef
was trained in a five star hotel and will prepare your catch
serving it Cajun island style with lobster, tiger prawns and
fresh, fresh salads grown in our garden paradise. Owing to
the effects of the warm Mozambique current, temperatures vary
little between summer and winter with a minimum of 21°c
in winter and a maximum of 28°c in summer. It's your all
year island breakaway from the stress & strain of the
city to the art of relaxation.

Ripple Creek
Zimabwe
It's bass fishing at its best. Some say Zimbabwe will
produce the next world record. That may be fishermen's exaggeration,
but it is certain that Zimbabwe regularly produces whoppers
exceeding eight to ten pounds. Imagine as dawn breaks
and mist rises off the water. Your line draws tight, so you
strike, and in an instant feel helpless while your line is
whipped from your reel at a rate that will end your reel in
seconds
if you don't act fast. HHK can make that dream
reality. HHK offers their lodges in the heart of their Bubye
River Conservancy. It's the largest private conservancy in
Africa measuring over 1,000,000 acres, and perhaps the World.
It's located in the south western Lowveld of Zimbabwe, about
an eight hour drive from Johannesburg & four hours flying
including customs clearance. These under fished waters regularly
produce bass in excess of eight pounds.
If you are serious about fishing it's about time you went
to Ripple Creek. By the way, I hear Abu Garcia is offering
US 1,000,000 to the next Bass World Record Holder that catches
it on their equipment. Visit www.bardellos.com to order your
equipment. We'll see you at Ripple Creek for a spot of fishing
soon.
